Winter Outlined by Fuschia Nightfire

Gliding around a wonderland of white…

In a season that generally feels weighted down beneath thick blankets of snow…at least in my part of the world…there is something light and ethereal about Fuschia Nightfire’s latest installation Winter Outlined at the Gallery Graine Sculpture Garden. The lightly outlined skaters, trees and landscape is one part of that weightlessness, the other is the ambient and beautiful stream of music filling the space for the smoothly gliding people.

Like many of Fuschia’s installations, visitors are encouraged to immerse themselves within the work through a freely available and themed avatar. All of the items you see within the space are also available in a small shop on the edge of the frozen pond so if you have a desire to take home the Snow Queen or the more mischievous Jack Frost, you are certainly able to do so. So visit http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Blue%20Curacao/163/90/22 and strap on a pair of skates and glide your way through a weightless winter wonderland.
